Healthcare Design reports the Emory Proton Therapy Center, one of only a handful in the U.S. and the first in Georgia, sits on a 2.39-acre site in the midtown business district of Atlanta within walking distance of Emory University Hospital Midtown. Designed by Stantec Architecture (Washington, D.C.), the facility provides state-of-the-art proton radiation in an environment that’s designed to promote a sense of well-being and comfort for patients while allowing the doctors and technicians to provide the best possible care.
